Hey there, I’m Vanessa — the heart behind Olive Branch Collective.

I’m a wife, a homeschooling mama to four wonderful boys, and a country girl at heart. Our little family lives on a cozy one-acre plot, complete with chickens, two pigs, a dog, and a cat. Though space is currently too tight, I dream of the day we can welcome a donkey, some sheep, a cow — and whatever else this simple, slow life brings our way.

Since I was a young girl, I’ve collected Bible verses, quotes from books, and different sayings that stirred something in me — words that grounded me during life’s ups and downs and drew me closer to God. Olive Branch Collective is my way of sharing this you — these reflections, little reminders of hope, faith, and beauty in the everyday.

So…why “Olive Branch”?

There are many biblical symbols of olive trees and branches in the bible. A few stand out to me specifically, like when the dove returned to Noah carrying an olive branch. This was a sign of peace and deliverance — a reminder that God was in control, and the storm had passed. As well, an olive tree grows slowly, requiring patient, and faithful care before it bears fruit. Through that, I see a reflection of our walk with Christ: slow, steady, and rooted in trust that He will provide all that I need.

“But I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God; I trust in God’s unfailing love forever and ever.” -Psalm 52:8

May these words offer peace, encouragement, and a gentle reminder that you are never alone on your journey.
